Trunk or Treat

Join us for a Trunk or Treat event on October 26, 2023 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. We will be in the Crystal Lake Church Parking lot, 278 Sandy Beach Road. We can't wait to see those beautiful or spooky costumes! Candy and non-candy treats will be available!
Study of Exodus

Christmas Stories and Snacks
Bring the kids to enjoy Christmas stories in a cozy and festive atmosphere, followed by light snacks. You can choose between December 9 and December 16 from 2 to 3 or come on both days. If you have presents to be wrapped, we can do that, too!
Ash Wednesday Events
February 14 is Ash Wednesday. During the day, from 11:00 a.m. to noon, ashes will be offered to those who drive through the church parking lot or who walk up to receive them. There will also be an Ash Wednesday service inside the church at 6:00 p.m. All are welcome.
Good Friday Service
Stafford Springs Congregational Church 3 Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, United StatesA Good Friday Ecumenical Service will be held on March 29 at noon at the Stafford Springs Congregational Church. The Crystal Lake Community United Methodist Church will be open for meditation and prayer from 12 noon until 7 p.m.
Bible Study
Community United Methodist Church@Crystal Lake 278 Sandy Beach Rd., Ellington, CTPastor Millie Victor will be leading a Bible study using "Why? Understanding God's Will" by Adam Hamilton. The group will meet every Monday at 1:00 p.m. beginning on April 29 and lasting for at least four weeks. Books are available for $4.00 from Pastor Millie. Taking Back Advent
The reading and discussion of the book "Taking Back Advent" will begin on December 1 and end on December 24. This book has scripture readings, reflections and activities for each day during the Advent season. On Sundays, there will be opportunities for group discussion around the previous week's readings.
